Carnation Tissue Paper Flower Craft
Introduction
These tissue paper carnations are perfect for decorating or as gifts. The best part is they look so real!
Materials
- tissue paper: pink, red and/or white
- green pipe cleaners
- scissors

Steps
Step 1
Fold a stack of tissue paper together so that you can cut the stack evenly into ~3.5x5 inch rectangles.

Step 2
Stack together 6 sheets of the cut tissue paper.
Step 3
Fold the 5 inch edge into half. From the middle crease, fold the half in a zig-zag pattern. Do the same for both halves.

Step 4
Cut the pipe cleaner into half.

Step 5
Wrap one end of the pipe cleaner around the folded tissue paper. Twist the pipe cleaner around a few times to secure the tissue paper.

Step 6
Cut both ends of the tissue paper into a triangle shape.

Step 7
Take first sheet of tissue paper and pull upwards towards the middle.
Step 8
Continue to pull up the first layer towards the middle from the other half of the tissue paper.
Step 9
Repeat this for all subsequent layers of tissue paper until flower is formed.
Step 10
Fluff the petals of the carnation by running your fingers through the layers.
Step 11
Make other colors of carnation with white and red tissue paper to form a carnation bouquet! I have a *video tutorial* on the next page if you want to see how it's made again!
